Meet The Team

During her studies at Creighton University, Dr Russell was recommended and accepted membership to Alpha Sigma Nu, the highest ranking Jesuit Honor Society awarded to a student. She is also a member of Phi Theta Epsilon, an academic honor society for occupational therapy students. Each honor society exemplifies Dr Russell’s dedication to helping others through service as well as researched based practice.

When asked why she became an occupational therapist, Dr Russell explains, “I have been a part of conservative healthcare in Anchorage, Alaska for close to 2 decades. I wanted more opportunity to direct the care of my patients and/or clients in a way that would make meaningful lasting change in their lives. Occupation is defines as any activity that brings meaning and/or fulfillment to a person’s life. That is the wonderful thing about being an OT, whatever your goals or endeavors; I’m here to support you in achieving them.”

Dr Russell’s passion for health and fitness drive her occupational therapy style. She believes best care and/or outcomes are achieved through active therapy including exercise coupled with passive therapy such as manual therapy, massage therapy, and neuro re-education.
